Mission of WA CARH: The Washington State Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (WA-CARH) promotes and supports safe, clean and affordable housing in rural communities. We advance the common interests of our member who develop, manage or own properties funded through USDA/Rural Development, the Low Income Housing Tax Credit and other programs by promoting professionalism, and providing education, resources and information.
Washington State Council for Affordable and Rural Housing is a chapter of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH), a national industry association consisting of members actively involved in the rural multifamily housing industry. CARH works closely with the government agency overseeing rural housing (USDA-Rural Housing Service) at both the national and statewide levels.
Washington State CARH was named 2011 State Affiliated Association of the Year by the Council for Affordable & Rural Housing in Alexandria, VA.
